Privacy Policy General

Your privacy and security is very important to us and for the purpose of complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the data controller is Fairview Vehicle Services, Arnolds Garage, Sherborne Causeway, Shaftesbury SP7 9PX. In the course of providing the services you have requested from us we may collect basic personal data about you, which does not include any special categories of personal information about you (often know as ‘Sensitive personal data’) this information does, however include the likes of your name, address, telephone number and email address. No personal data will be collected without consent and the personal data we hold about you will be processed by our staff and strictly in accordance with our data policy.  We take all reasonable steps to ensure you personal data is processed securely, IT systems are encrypted with password protection and Hard copy is stored secure and locked. We will only keep your personal data as long as we continue to deliver the services you request or until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive services or information from us. 

We will never share your data and no third parties will have access to your personal data unless there is a legal obligation for us to provide them with this

Under GDPR all individuals have the right to Subject Access Request (SAR), if a SAR request is valid and permissible then data will be supplied to individuals within 30 days of the request being deemed valid. 

We use CCTV camera to record images on our premises to protect our customers, staff and our business, in some limited circumstances it may be appropriate to release footage to a third party where legally required to do so.  All requests to disclose footage must be made in writing to the Data Controller, Fairview Vehicle Services, Arnolds Garage, Sherborne Causeway, Shaftesbury SP7 9PX all requests must be valid and permissible, data will be supplied to individuals within 30 days of the request being deemed valid.

In the unlikely event you are unhappy with our service and wish to make a complaint, in the first instance please contact Marcus Arnold using one of the following methods
